Pub crawl planner & country pub walk planner

Plan a pub crawl in any UK town or city, or a country pub walk between villages. Tell it a town, how many pubs and how long you are happy to walk between them, and it builds you a crawl: real venues in walking order, with directions between each one and a way home at the end.

What you tell it

What you get

Country pub walks

The crawl planner is built for towns and cities, with short hops between venues. For the countryside, choose Country pub walk: a daytime route from village to village along public footpaths, with two or three real pubs as the stops and roughly 30 to 90 minutes of walking between them.

Walking between pubs

Country crawls are not the same as city ones. Lanes between rural pubs often have no pavement and no lighting, and they are darker than you expect by the third stop. Carry a torch, wear something bright, and keep the group together. If a leg does not feel safe, taxi it — asking the planner to finish near a station or taxi rank gives you a clean way home. Crawls are for over-18s: pace yourself, drink water between pubs and never drink and drive.

What it costs

A pub crawl counts as one search, the same as planning a walk. Your first three searches are free when you sign up; after that it is covered by Standard or Pro. If a crawl cannot be built from enough open pubs, it is not counted.

Questions

How does the pub crawl planner work?
You choose a town or city, how many pubs you want to visit, a day and start time, and the longest walk you are happy to do between venues. It picks from the real pubs and bars listed for that area, checks they are open when you would arrive, and puts them in walking order with directions from one to the next.
Does it make up pubs?
No. Every stop has to match a real pub or bar in the area's listings — within about 150 metres of its actual front door — and no venue is used twice on the same crawl. If the listings show a place closed when you would arrive, it is left out. Village pubs often have no listed hours at all — those can still be included, clearly marked ‘hours unconfirmed — check first’.
Can it include bars, or finish at a cocktail bar?
Yes. You can ask for pubs only, a mix of pubs and bars, or a crawl that ends at a cocktail bar or lounge with pubs along the way. You can also ask for a food stop and for the last venue to be near a station or taxi rank.
How much does a pub crawl cost?
One crawl uses one search, the same as planning a walk. Your first three searches are free when you sign up; after that it is covered by a Standard or Pro plan. A crawl that does not come back with enough open pubs is not counted.
What is a country pub walk?
A separate mode for daytime walks from village to village along public footpaths, stopping at two or three real country pubs with roughly 30 to 90 minutes of walking between them. It uses the same walk planner as our countryside walks, so you get directions, a sketch map and the path notes — with pubs as the stops.
Is it safe to walk between country pubs at night?
That depends on the lane. Country legs often have no pavement and no lighting, so carry a torch, wear something bright and keep the group together. If a leg does not feel safe, taxi it — the planner will try to finish near a station or taxi rank if you ask it to.
Does it work outside Britain?
The crawl planner needs real listings to work from, so it does best in towns and cities where pubs are well mapped — which in practice means most of Britain. It can work elsewhere, but the venue checks are only as good as the listings available.

Plan a crawl

The crawl planner sits on the main page — open it, set your town, pubs and timing, and it will put a few routes together for you. Your first three searches are free when you sign up. For a daytime village-to-village walk, pick "Country pub walk" instead.
